Constructive Mentoring Comes Full Circle

In the last few months the Orijen team has been busy visiting the capital cities of Australia to spread the word about our program and sign up more mentors and mentees.

We are happy to report that we now have participants enrolled from every state and territory in Australia, making the Constructive Mentoring program truly national!

During April we also had the chance to drop into the RAIA National Council Conference in Canberra to present our program results so far.

This month as we facilitate the final match-ups and help these new participants get their mentoring relationships underway, the first group of NSW mentoring pairs are nearing the end of their 12 month program. Congratulations!

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank and acknowledge all of the mentors who have volunteered their time for this program. Their generosity in sharing their skills and experience with others is testament to the culture of exchange and support among women in the construction industry.

Now let's keep this momentum going!

Last Call For Mentors

We are still on the lookout for a couple more mentors in ACT, NSW, SA, VIC and WA.

As we are aiming to complete the matching over the coming week or two, please hurry!   Anyone who is interested must contact lisa@orijen.com.au or register online as soon as possible.

Please note that mentee enrolments have already closed in all states.

State Forums To Focus On Work-Life Balance

Every participant will have the opportunity to attend a Constructive Mentoring State Forum event, between July and September 2008.

The theme for each Forum event is 'Work-Life Balance', which emerged from participant feedback as one of the key issues being faced by mentors and mentees alike.

Come along and learn how to relax your mind and lower your stress levels, manage your time more efficiently and your money more wisely, plus hear from some inspiring guest speakers on ways they have been able to achieve balance in their lives and success in their careers in the construction industry.

The program and guest presenters for each state will vary, however informal networking will finish off every event, to allow participants to expand their networks and rub shoulders with other women in the industry.

Stay tuned for an email invitation to the Forum in your state, coming soon!

We Want To Hear From You!

The key themes in our program are built around participant feedback, so please remember to keep reporting back to us on your progress each month. Click here to submit your monthly feedback to us.

In addition, we will soon be sending a more comprehensive Program Feedback Form, so please keep an eye out for this. Your responses will help us improve the program for the future.

Something you've been telling us is that you'd like to be able to discuss day-to-day issues with like-minded people, who may not necessarily be your mentor. As a quick & easy way to facilitate this, we created an online Discussion Board where you can post questions and answers to existing discussion threads, or create your own topics of interest. Jump on today and give it a whirl!
